STUART MUSIC FUND BENEFIT CONCERT

On January 26, 2013, the Brentwood Concert Band, under the direction of Carey Hurst and Susan Stuart,  will hold the 5^th Annual Stuart Music Fund Benefit Concert.  The concert begins at 7 pm and will be at the Brentwood Community Center, 35 Oak Street, Brentwood .  For more information about the Brentwood Concert Band please visit our website www.brentwoodconcertband.com .  The Brentwood Flute Choir and the Liberty High School Band will also perform, both under the direction of Carey Hurst. 

The concert will feature 2 students who are recipients of grants from the Stuart Music Fund, Robbie Henderson and Sam Sanchez.  The Fund was established after Bruce Stuart, founder of the BCB, passed away in 2008.  Upon Susan’s retirement, after 35 years as choral director at LibertyHigh School, she established 2 scholarships that are given annually to deserving LibertyHigh Schoolmusicians.  The Fund, however, is available to any musician in the LibertyUnionHighSchool Districtand surrounding schools.  Please see www.stuartmusicfund.com for more information and the application.  You may also make a donation to the Stuart Music Fund at the website. 

The concert is free but donations are gratefully accepted in order to meet the needs of area music students.  Light refreshments will be served.  We thank you for your continued support.
