The Discovery Bay Yacht Club is again sponsoring the Discovery Bay Opening Day Boat Parade. It takes place on Saturday, April 21 beginning at 1:00. Decorated boats will travel through alternate bays and end at the Discovery Bay Yacht Club. There will be an Open House at the Club (Marina Drive, Discovery Bay) from 3 - 6 p.m. The theme of the parade is "An All-American Boat Parade" - break out your red, white and blue balloons, lots of bunting and use your imagination. Awards are given by size category - boats under 30', 30 - 40' and over 40'.
