Plump teenager Tracy Turnblad’s dream is to dance on “The Corny Collins Show.” When Tracy wins a role on the show, she becomes an overnight celebrity and launches a campaign to end segregation on the show.

The Heritage High School Rising Stars present the award-winning “big fat” Broadway musical “Hairspray” in performances slated for Feb. 24, March 2-3, 8-10 and 15-17 at 7 p.m.; and Feb. 25 and March 17 at 2 p.m. at the school, 101 American Ave. in Brentwood.

The Heritage theater box office will open one hour prior to each performance.
