In July, Antioch’s Chichibu Sister City Committee, in partnership with the Arts & Cultural Foundation of Antioch, sought local artists to create a work that best represents Antioch.

The artwork chosen was by Antioch resident Joel Summerhill, who painted “Yellow House,” a watercolor of a historic Rivertown District house.

Later in July, the Chichibu Sister City Committee presented Summerhill’s watercolor to its government leaders, to be displayed in Chichibu’s city hall in Japan.
