April 24, 2:47 p.m. Officers of the Antioch Police Department responded to the report of a hit-and-run accident near the intersection of West Ninth and I streets. Upon arrival, officers found a 30-year-old male Antioch resident who had been struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle. The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where is recovering from his injuries. The vehicle fled the scene following the collision. The victim and witnesses described the vehicle as a gold Acura sedan with tinted windows and stock rims. The vehicle sustained front-end damage and a broken front windshield as a result of the collision. The driver was described as a young Hispanic male, and witnesses also observed another young Hispanic male in the passenger seat. May 1, 3:30 p.m. Antioch police responded to the report of a vehicle-pedestrian collision on Lone Tree Way in the vicinity of Davison Drive. Upon arrival, officers found that an 83-year-old female Antioch resident had been struck by a northbound vehicle on Lone Tree Way about 400 feet North of Davison Drive, where Lone Tree Way is a four-lane road with a planted center divide. There is no crosswalk at this point and why the pedestrian was in the roadway is unknown. Alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the incident.
