May 13, 2:21 p.m. Officers of the Antioch Police Department responded to the report of a shooting in the area of West 10th Street and Auto Center Drive. Upon arrival, officers were advised that the victim, a 29-year-old male Antioch resident, had driven to his home nearby. Officers went to the victim’s home, where they found him awake and alert but suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. It was discovered that the victim was shot while driving his car near the intersection of West 10th Street and Auto Center Drive. The intersection was closed down for approximately 30 minutes while officers collected evidence. Those with information regarding this case should call the Antioch Police Department at 925-778-2441.

May 14, 11 p.m. An 18-year-old female Antioch resident arrived at an area hospital’s emergency room suffering from multiple stab wounds. According to the woman, she had been walking on Cavallo Road near Sunset Drive when she was attacked by an unknown assailant and stabbed multiple times before escaping. She walked to the hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. Her injuries appear to be non-life-threatening. Investigators are considering this a potentially gang-related incident.
