Art exhibits sought for Community Center

The City of Brentwood, through its public art walls located at the Brentwood Community Center, is creating an opportunity for local artists to show their work to a larger public, to know and be known in the larger community and to form relationships with regional art organizations though our.

The exhibit will enhance access to the Community Center and enable the Brentwood Arts Commission to work with artists, art organizations and other community organizations to build effective partnerships.

Public art wall application packets are now available from the Parks and Recreation Department. Applications are being accepted through Oct. 12 for the exhibit that will begin Jan. 1, 2013.

The Brentwood Community Center public spaces will highlight artists and art organizations throughout Brentwood. Preference will be given to City of Brentwood residents and/or organizations followed by residents and/or organizations of Pittsburg, Antioch, Oakley or surrounding unincorporated areas of East Contra Costa County.
