The Brentwood Advisory Neighborhood committee (BANC) this week announced Home of the Month program winners for the holiday season. First, above left, was the home of Zachary Szopinski on Pescara Boulevard, which got the nod for the best Halloween decorations. Zachary has been doing all the Halloween and Christmas decorating for his family for the past seven years. He started the first week of October to finish in time for all the ghouls and goblins. He’s done such an amazing job that some of the adults were afraid to set foot on the porch. We all see a future for him in cinematic special effects.

When it came to Christmas decorations, there was no topping Lawrence Botelho’s handiwork on Kayla Place. The decorations were tastefully designed, masterfully executed and, according to the homeowner, took 52 hours to complete – a literally shining example of the Christmas spirit.
