Heritage High's girls basketball team had already pulled off one major upset in the California Interscholastic Federation NorCal tournament, defeating No. 5 seeded Oakland Tech in the first round.

But when the 12th-seeded Patriots met the No. 4 Oak Ridge Trojans on Saturday night, a similar result wasn't in the cards.

Heritage fell to Oak Ridge 44-29, ending one of the most successful seasons in Patriots' history.

Other BVAL scores:

Kennedy 58, Deer Valley girls 52
McClymonds 87, Deer Valley boys 79

More details will be available Monday.
