With more than 30 years of food experience, Biagio Artisan Farms sources its products from small, artisan ranches and farmers located within 150 miles of the Biagio warehouse in San Leandro. The products come only from farmers that meet Biagio’s criteria of sustainability, humaneness toward animals and consistent quality.
These farms – including Lucky Dog Cattle, Baily and Long Family Farms, Field to Family, Pozzi Ranch, and A&A Farms – raise cattle, hogs, chickens, lambs and rabbits that are never fed hormones or antibiotics.
The Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association is the state’s largest, operating more than 60 certified farmers’ markets weekly in the Bay Area during peak summer months. The markets offer only California-grown products sold directly to consumers by the farmers that grew, nurtured and harvested the crops. All PCFMA markets accept WIC FMNP (Woman Infant and Children Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program coupons) and EBT (the Golden State advantage food stamp cards).
The Brentwood Farmers’ Market is held Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon on Maple Street between First and Second streets.
