The East County Democrats For Action (ECDFA), the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and the National League of Latin American Citizens host an Antioch candidates forum Tuesday, Oct. 2 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Grace Bible Fellowship Church, 913 Sunset Drive in Antioch.

Moderated by Cherice Gillman (ECDFA) and Charles Glasper (NAACP), the event provides the candidates the opportunity to answer questions about Antioch’s major issues and concerns, and gives voters vital information about their potential city representatives.

Mayoral candidates Gary Agopian, Donald Freitas, Wade Harper and Michael Anthony Leon are scheduled to appear along with council candidates Jim Davis, Noel Pinto, Mary Rocha, Walter Ruehlig and Monica Wilson.

For more information, call ECDFA President George Van Hasselt at 925-754-9514 or e-mail gvanhasselt@sbcglobal.net.
