I was not surprised to find another spiteful letter in your paper from Ms. Carol Jackson. Based on all the previous letters she has submitted, she is one bitter person. I read in the legal notices that she recently sued the Byron Wastewater District, and now she wants to tell Discovery Bay and the CSD directors how to do business? Absurd. Incidentally, the Byron Wastewater District looks to be back on track ever since they dismissed Ms. Jackson.
What was surprising was her uninvited attack on Director Brian Dawson. From my observation and attending a few meetings, he has been doing good work. Perhaps she felt the need to back her friend Walter McVittie, a candidate who recently announced his candidacy at the same time he attempted to criticize the CSD. I never trust those who try to make themselves look good by putting others down. Shame on Mr. McVittie for doing just that in his letter and Carol Jackson for repeating it.
I also have witnessed Walter MacVittie in the close company of Bill Richardson, who we all know (unsuccessfully) sued the CSD. This kind of behavior is not what is needed in Discovery Bay.
It must be election season, and as a voter who pays attention, I will be judging candidates on character and credibility.
