The Friends of Oakley, a community foundation, is hosting a competitive chili cook-off and barbecue on Saturday, July 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Oakley teachers’ instructional supply budgets.

The community event will be held in the Mike’s Beer ‘N’ Brew parking lot (near Bank of the West and Raley’s). The event features a car show, music, car wash, bake sale and barbecue. For additional information on cook-off rules, guidelines and entry forms, visit www.friendsofoakley.com.
