“Affordable, quality entertainment is always in demand – and especially right, now so come out and see us at the fair,” said fair CEO Lori Marshall. “Our fair has so many great attractions and shows that are free with the price of admission. It’s a great way to kick off the summer.”
For an $8 ticket, fairgoers get to check out more than 100 exhibits, from sporting goods, jewelry and fine arts to horticulture and livestock. Between carnival rides and cotton candy, they’ll be entertained with impromptu performances by cowboy troupe Fables of the West, enjoy some laughs with Skip Banks the Balloon Man and rock out with platinum rock artists Great White.
Myriad other attractions, concerts, shows and events are included with the price of admission. For those willing to spend a little extra, hip-hop legend MC Hammer brings his signature flair to the fair’s main stage on Friday, June 4 at 7 p.m. Those tickets are an additional $15 for general admission and $20 for reserved seating.
“We encourage families to come visit us multiple times to enjoy all the activities and attractions offered,” said Marshall. “But it’s not important to see it all. What’s important is that families can come and be entertained for as long as they like without breaking the bank.”
The Contra Costa County Fairgrounds is located at 1201 W. 10th St. The fair is open Thursday and Friday, June 3 and 4 from noon to 11 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, June 5 and 6 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults; $5 for seniors and children 6-12; free for children 5 and under.
