The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors (BOS) has unanimously appointed Discovery Bay residents Brian Dawson and Kevin Graves to fill the two CSD board seats left vacant by the resignations of Shannon Murphy-Teixeira and Dave Dove. The appointments were made Tuesday during the regular meeting of the BOS.

The Discovery Bay CSD board was unable to appoint a replacement for either seat and declined to call for a special election, so the town was required by CSD law to notify the BOS of the situation within 60 days of each director’s resignation.

Murphy-Teixeira resigned on Sept. 18, and the letter was sent on Nov. 17. Dove resigned on Sept. 23; his letter was sent to the BOS on Nov. 24.
