Aliah Gaoteote breezed through the word “defiantly” and took the title of champion in Timber Point Elementary School’s recent annual Spelling Bee. Of the 12 fourth- and fifth-grade competitors, Orson Jiang gave Aliah a run for her money and took second place. Congratulations to Aliah, Orson and Timber Point’s other master spellers: Kaylee Mitolo, Anya Rowland, Arcel Gray, Bailee Reed, Natasha Carroll, Caden Norman, Reese Watkins-Nelson, Syndelle LaDue, Emily Davis and Kurosh Aryen.
