Discovery Bay resident Bobby Connelly, 5, has been racing BMX bikes for only 2½ months but has won numerous races. He’s only two races away from advancing to the intermediate level. Bobby was recently asked to join Team Bandit – one of the BMX’s oldest race teams – making him the first 5-year-old novice to be picked up by Team Bandit in more than 20 years.
