Big League of Dreams was the setting for the recent Memorial Day Tournament featuring Brentwood’s 9U Delta Dawgs, who won the Silver Level Championship title. The team bounced back from opening losses to the Nor Cal Titans 7-8 and the Booya 1-14, dominating the Windsor Jaguars 8-1 and Pleasanton Yellow Jackets 11-6.

The Dawgs earned their title by handily beating the Windsor Jaguars 12-1 in four innings. The one run allowed is a tribute to the well-synchronized Dawg defense, in which all players made a significant contribution. The team members include Howie Hicks, Devyn Douglas, Oscar Murray, Jeffrey Wexler, Peyton Wood, Jared Cruce, Max Peterson, Ryan Jackson, Richie Kabasinskas, Tommy Munson and Bryce Fountain, coached by Mark Murray, Buzz Cruce and Jason Peterson.

Notable performances include a double by Wood and stand-up triples by Munson and Kabasinskas. Munson pitched with authority, striking out six in four innings. Jared Cruce fanned seven batters in three innings to help lead the Dawgs to the win.
