Sabrina Carrasco, Shelbee Claypool and Gabby Montiel took top honors for their scrumptious gingerbread house inspired by the movie “Up.”

The Liberty High School culinary students were part of a 20-team competition comprising 67 students from schools in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. A panel of 12 judges evaluated the projects based on overall appearance, originality, creativity, difficulty and theme consistency.
