Among Discovery Bay’s many current events and projects are the upgrades to the town’s parks. The Cornell Park tennis courts have been completely refurbished and outfitted for pickle ball play as well. The park’s horseshoe pits were recently renovated and ready for action. The bocce ball courts have also been completely redone.

Bocce and horseshoe players without their own equipment may check out equipment at the town offices, 1800 Willow Lake Road. Call 925-634-1131 to confirm availability.

Regatta Park now boasts a brand-new full-size basketball court. As the summer heats up, residents can seek refuge in the cool and refreshing waters at the Ravenswood Park Splash Pad. And new shade structures are slated to be installed soon at Slifer Park.

For more information about parks and other Community Services District activity, visit the Town of Discovery Bay website, www.todb.ca.gov. Residents are encouraged to attend the CSD Board of Director’s general meetings, held the first and third Wednesdays of the month, plus various committee meetings. Check the website for times and agendas.
