2011 Deer Valley High graduate and Troop 450 Eagle Scout Cole Trainor McMahon, son of Peter and Carrie McMahon, participated in Deer Valley Men’s Volleyball, was named to the BVAL First Team, spent eight summers at Camp Wente, and completed all 79 orienteering posts this last summer, adding his personalized post upon completion. Cole was recently honored by Chichibu Park in Antioch for constructing and installing four bat boxes for the East Bay Regional Park District. Two boxes are hung on the trails office in Oakley and two are installed at Big Break Park on 12-foot posts.
