Contra Costa County residents can now get free H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccine at public health vaccination clinics while supplies last. The priority group requirements have been lifted because more vaccine is available. Only those older than 6 months and who are not allergic to eggs are eligible to receive vaccine.

In East County, the Veterans Building on 186 E. Leland Road in Pittsburg is open Monday, Dec. 28 from noon to 4 p.m.; Tuesday, Dec. 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Wednesday, Dec. 30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The preceding information is subject to change based on vaccine availability. Check www.cchealth.org or call 888-959-9911 before visiting a flu clinic.
