When students return to Vintage Parkway Elementary School next month, they'll be treated to a brand-new playground thanks to some special state funding secured by the Oakley Union Elementary School District.

The dollars were earmarked to help prepare the school for the new modified traditional school year by adding classrooms and repainting buildings. As part of the Vintage project, it was also necessary to tear down the old playground equipment and replace it with a new rubberized surface and updated play structures.
