Hundreds of local kids swarmed the parking lot at Brentwood Bike Shop, watching 10 pros from Kink Bike BMX. Kids who came with their bikes in tow also got to ride on the ramps and talk shop with their heroes, who signed autographs until 7:30 that night.
Since places to practice the increasingly popular sport in East County are limited, the recent exhibition was a treat for local bike riders.
