FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

12-07-10 230PM

We are posting this message to inform you of an incident that our organization became a victim of. We were recently informed that there are individuals going door to door asking for donations and fraudulently using Beat The Streets’ name to get businesses and residents to give cash donations.

If you were approached by someone asking for cash donations on behalf of Beat The Streets recently or in the past few months, we encourage you to contact us at 925-848-4850 and leave a message. We may put you in contact with the investigating officers at our local Antioch Police Department.

We would like to give our deepest apology to the victims that have been targeted by these individuals!

Please note that we have always used safe practices and strict policies when accepting donations. In order to prevent this from happening in the future, please keep in mind that Beat The Streets accepts donations only via our website, www.beatthestreetsca.org. Please also inform your friends and neighbors of this fraudulent activity.

On behalf of the board of Beat the Streets, Inc., thank you in advance for assisting us with this matter, and we apologize again if you were a victim of these perpetrators.

Tracy Tate

Founder and President

Beat the Streets, Inc.
