Take Back Antioch has partnered with UNO Chicago Grill to raise money to defray the cost of rebuilding City Park. Antioch's City Park, located at A and 10th streets, was severely damaged in a fire on the evening of Sept. 17. The city carries insurance on the park, but the deductible is $25,000 – money the city can't spare – so Take Back Antioch immediately started soliciting donations to rebuild the popular park.

The fundraiser will be held all day Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 29 and 30, at UNO Chicago Grill, 4827 Lone Tree Way in Antioch. Diners who mention to their server the Take Back Antioch fundraiser when they're seated will get 20 percent of their check donated to the City Park rebuilding fund.

The event also features a raffle of items donated by several local merchants. All proceeds go toward the City Park rebuilding fund. Raffle entrants needn't be present to win when the tickets are drawn.

We learned yesterday that the estimated cost of rebuilding City Park is $80,000 - so we need to work really hard to raise as much of that $25,000 deductible as we can! Please bring your family and friends to UNO this weekend, and don't forget to mention the fundraiser!
