Gary Neil Robertson, a 22-year resident of Discovery Bay, an avid fisherman, bowler and friend of many, passed away on Nov. 2. He was 72.

Gary was an excellent bowler, loved the game and bowled in several leagues at Harvest Park Bowl in Brentwood. He was very involved in coaching the youth bowlers at Harvest Park. As a coach he was a teacher, friend and a positive role model for many. Gary touched so many lives in the bowling community that Jim Wangeman (proprietor of Harvest Park Bowl) felt it appropriate that his memorial be held at the Bowling Center, where Gary spent so much of his time.

His Celebration of Life was held on Nov. 14 and was attended by his many friends and family. After the many verbal tributes to Gary, the Youth Bowlers released white balloons to the heavens in Gary’s honor. He made an impact on so many lives and will never be forgotten.
