Sensory exploration helps autistic kids understand the confusing world that surrounds them. As special-needs programs are currently underfunded, it’s hard for teachers of autistic kids to acquire the equipment that gives the kids the best sensory-exploration treatment possible.
On Wednesday, April 18 from 5 to 9 p.m. at both Lumpy’s locations, 25 percent of your dinner will go toward the cause of helping autistic kids, including a donation by Lumpy’s to the Special Kids Foundation. In addition, the Antioch restaurant will feature educational materials and a Jumpy House for kids to play in for a $1 donation.
Lumpy’s in Antioch is located at 5891 Lone Tree Way. The Pittsburg restaurant is located at 615 Railroad Ave.
