Kirkland’s home store, which has 301 stores nationwide, has its grand opening Dec. 3 and 4 at Empire Shopping Center, 5875 Lone Tree Way in Antioch.

Kirkland’s is a national specialty retailer of home décor and gifts, and its entrance into the Bay area market brings a new value-driven home décor shopping experience here.

“Our traditional style seems to resonate well with shoppers,” said Kirkland’s SVP/CFO Mike Madden.

Kirkland's specializes in home furnishings such as framed art, mirrors, wall décor, candles, lamps, decorative accessories, accent furniture, textiles, gifts, garden accessories and artificial floral products.

The large size of the new store in a power center means Kirkland’s can carry a large volume of merchandise, offer a wide assortment, and provide quality visual displays, creating an enjoyable shopping experience.

Neighboring stores in Antioch are critical to success. “Retailers build upon each other in a shopping center,” Madden said.

Empire Shopping Center and the area nearby include an array of stores and restaurants.
