City Park shook off the look of a construction zone with the installation of sod last week as the grand re-opening of the downtown landmark approaches. This week, crews installed sidewalks along Oak Street and finished the Community Center’s front parking area – expected to be ready for use by the end of this week.

Audio/visual and stage equipment was installed in the park’s performance area, and fencing in the playground area. Completion of the fountain and water play feature are next. The grand opening is set for May 19.
