Hoover and Freda Kennedy are proud to announce their parents' 70th wedding anniversary.

Hoover and Freda were married July 9, 1938 in Stockton and have lived most of their lives in Oakley.

Their proud children are Gerald Kennedy (Janice) of Weimar; Derrel Kennedy (Diane) of Lafayette; Barbara Clemons (George) of Brentwood; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The children will be taking the couple out for a celebratory dinner.
