Hospice offers support

Hospice of the East Bay is offering a variety of support groups and workshops for adults, children and teens experiencing grief after the death of a loved one. Classes are offered at Hospice’s administrative offices: 3470 Buskirk Ave. in Pleasant Hill and at 350 John Muir Parkway in Brentwood.

ADULT SUPPORT GROUPS/CLASSES:

• Adults Who Have Lost a Parent: Pleasant Hill – Thursdays, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. from June 18 through Aug. 6

• LGBT Grief Support Group: Pleasant Hill – Thursdays, 7 to 9 p.m. from July 16 through Sept. 10 (no meeting Aug. 13)

• Widow and Widowers’ Support: Brentwood – Tuesdays, 4 to 6 p.m. from July 21 through Sept. 8; Pleasant Hill – Mondays, 6 to 8 p.m. from Aug. 10 through Oct. 5

CHILDREN AND TEENS SUPPORT GROUP:

• Footsteps: Pleasant Hill – Tuesdays, 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. from Sept. 29 through Nov. 3

All groups and classes are offered for a fee and require pre-registration. Fees are waived for those who cannot afford them. For further information and/or to register, call 925-887-5678.
