John Alfred Eeds, 82, passed away on Oct. 16, 2011 after a brief illness. John resided in Oakley for many years after retiring from the military, having served in three branches of service. John leaves behind his wife, Ruth Eeds; and daughters, Monica Zamora and Marcia Thompson. John was buried with military honors at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, Calif.
