I just wanted to take a moment to thank my supporters some of whom I have gotten to know during my campaign, and others with whom I have had just brief conversations. And I'd even like to reach out and thank the members of our community who have let me know they disagree with one or more of my perspectives on the issues.
Each of these individuals has provided me with an opportunity to become better informed and to become more engaged with the issues facing our community.
Rather than have yet another letter to the editor end with a request that your readers vote for one candidate over another, I instead ask only that readers do get out and vote for whomever they support. This is the most critical election of our time, and we all need to be part of it.
I wish the best of luck to my opponents, as well as to others campaigning in elections in nearby communities. It has been an amazing time to be a candidate and now we all have an amazing opportunity to make a difference by going to the polls and casting our ballot for the candidates and measures we believe in. See you on Nov. 4!
