Lady Blast 12U-Kirk took first place in the recent Battle of the Bats in Martinez. The girls went 4-1 on the weekend, defeating the Nor Cal Demons, Loco Ladies, Davis Lady Demons and EC Hot Shots Rio Vista.

Strong pitching from Marissa Espinoza and Jenny Connolly were backed up by a tough defensive infield, including Brianna Ibarra at shortstop, who didn’t let anything get by her.

The Lady Blast 12U-Kirk team is managed by John Kirk and coached by Ron Cross and Miguel Ibarra. The team boasts 11 girls – 10 born in or after 1999.
