Leon Felix Stemler, 28, passed away at his family home in Brentwood from cancer. He graduated from Liberty Union High School in 2000 and attended college in Corvallis, Ore. He last worked as a custodian at Oregon State University.

Leon was an Eagle Scout with Troop 93 of Brentwood and served in the U.S. Army. He played trumpet and guitar and was a member of a rock band.

Leon is survived by his loving mother, Virginia “Ginny” Stemler of Brentwood, and loving sister Melissa “Issa” Stemler of Humboldt County. He was preceded in death by his father, Leon A. Stemler of Knightsen and Brentwood. Leon left no wife and children.
