The Oakley Library’s Teen Advisory Board is entering its seventh year, and the library is inviting enthusiastic and energetic teens to help plan children’s and teens’ library programs as members of the Oakley Library Youth Squad (OLYS).

Applicants (in eighth grade or above) must be dependable, responsible, and willing to interact with readers of all ages. OLYS meets once a month during the school year. The first meeting will be held Thursday, Aug. 19 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

All interested volunteers must fill out an application available at the library. For more information call Andrea Freyler at 925-625-2400 or e-mail afreyler@ccclib.org.

The Oakley Library is located in Freedom High School at 1050 Neroly Road and is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Thursdays from 2 to 9 p.m.; Fridays from 2 to 6:00 p.m.; and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The library is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
