Brentwood sculptor Cindy Williamson will be among a number of artists exhibiting their work at an upcoming reception at the George Kevsky Gallery in San Francisco. The show, which runs April 2 to May 28, is called The Fine Art of Baseball, and will highlight the highs and lows of the Great American Pastime.

Williamson’s “Bottom of the Ninth” was created after she discovered a passion for attending baseball games and was able to utilize the similarities between the appeal of the sport’s crackling atmosphere and the hefty, active surface most utilized in her work.

The Krevsky Gallery specializes in 20th century American art in the figurative tradition, emphasizing the Ashcan, Regionalist, Modernist and Social Realist schools. The gallery showcases art that documents the cultural history of the last century.

The gallery is located at 77 Geary St., second floor. For more information, call 415-397-9748 or visit www.georgekrevskygallery.com.
