Knightsen 4-H members Allison Spears and Dawson Gatz made East County proud in the Junior Breeding Beef competition at the recent California State Fair. In the Hereford category, Allyson won top honors in Reserve Intermediate Champion Female and Reserve Junior Champion Female. In the Angus category, Dawson brought home the blue ribbon in Junior Calf Champion Female and Reserve Champion Cow-Calf, and Allyson won for Reserve Junior Champion Female.
