Native of Guam and Oakley resident Rob Pierce grew out his hair for cultural reasons – and donated 18 inches of it (spanning three braids) for charitable reasons.

“We have three beautiful kids, and Rob is a fabulous role model for them,” said Rob’s wife, Belinda. Rob decided that on his 34th birthday he’d get his hair cut and donate it to Locks of Love, an organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada suffering from long-term medical hair loss.

Rob is hoping his contribution is voluminous to multiple children. Brenda thanks the “wonderful people at Designer Cuts in Oakley” – Jamie in particular – for the expert cut and picture taking.
