“I am very excited to work with the John Marsh Historic Trust. Preserving the stone house and creating a park will be a legacy I proudly leave to my children and all future residents. The house and the area surrounding it are so beautiful and I look forward to the day we can all enjoy it,” Ghiozzi said.
The John Marsh Historic Trust was created in 1994 with the goal of restoring the 1856 stone house to its original character, eventually opening the property as part of a 3,900-acre state park. The Trust is charged with raising funds to stabilize and restore the house that pioneer John Marsh built on his 14,000-acre Rancho Los Meganos, located in present-day Brentwood.
Kathleen Mero, board director for 15 years, said, “Alex will bring a fresh new energy to the hard working board of the Trust. She will not only bring business talent, she will add the weight of young families to the board’s interests.”
