Memorial for airman killed in car crash

A memorial service will be held Friday at 7 p.m. in the Lone Tree Golf and Event Center for Air Force Airman 1st Class Kyle Truitt, a 2006 Liberty High School graduate. Truitt, 23, died in a car crash in Little Rock Arkansas on Jan. 26.

A crew chief with the 19th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Truitt returned from deployment to Afghanistan in November. He was the nephew of Paul and Lois Laza of Brentwood.

Truitt’s funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday at Callaghan Mortuary, 3833 East Ave. in Livermore. For a news story on Truitt and the accident, click here.
