Donnie Thomas, Jr. of Discovery Bay has successfully completed California Highway Patrol (CHP) cadet training and has been assigned to duty at the CHP's Contra Costa Area office. Officer Thomas is a 1990 graduate of Biggs High School in Biggs, Calif. He earned a bachelor's degree in Science in Agricultural Business from California State University, Chico. Prior to joining the CHP, he was a small-business owner.
