Tennis
Whether you’re looking for tennis lessons for your 5-year-old or want to hone your skills as an intermediate player, tennis pro Sandi Johnston (from Future Stars 2000s) has the class for you, beginning every month. Beginner and intermediate classes (tots 4-7, juniors 8-12 and teens/adults 13 and older) meet twice a week for three weeks at the Creekside Park tennis courts. Gymnastics
The six-week gymnastics program, taught by staff from Black Diamond Kids Center, teaches children coordination, balance, flexibility and kinesthetic awareness through group games and an introduction to basic tumbling, trampoline and the balance beam. Classes are available for kids 6-12 on Tuesday afternoons or Saturday mornings. A variety of classes for babies, toddlers, and kids 3-5 is held Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings. Soccer
In Brentwood’s Kidz Love Soccer classes (for children 2-10), the emphasis is always on fun. Sessions incorporate age-appropriate activities including skill demonstrations, fun games and instructional scrimmages conducted in a non-competitive, recreational format. Eight-week sessions for five age divisions are offered Saturdays beginning Jan. 28 and Tuesdays beginning Jan. 31 at Apple Hill Park.
