Students Andrew Hernandez, Everado Orozco and Juan Villanueva were recently celebrated by the City of Oakley for successfully completing their internship in the Project Search program. Sponsored by the Liberty Union High School District and Futures Explored, the program provides qualifying high school students work-experience opportunities to acquire knowledge and employable skills that prepare them for the job market.

“These three young men were dependable, responsible and hard working, and provided superior service to the City of Oakley,” said City Engineer and Public Works Director Jason Vogan. “Any employer who hires one of these young adults will quickly find them to be a valuable addition to their business.”

The City of Oakley held a recognition ceremony Friday afternoon, presenting certificates of appreciation to Hernandez, Orozco and Villanueva, and thanking them for their interest, dedication and contributions to the city during their internships.
