The Oakley Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its annual Citizen of the Year awards, conferred for Citizen of the Year, Business Person of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Youth Volunteer of the Year. Votes may be cast by calling 925-625-1035. This year’s ceremony will also honor Police Officer of the Year and Firefighter of the Year.
The honorees will be recognized during a gala event held Friday, May 20 at Brownstone Gardens. Tickets ($35) are available Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the chamber office, 3510 Main St.
