Bobbie (Walker) Machado

It is with great sorrow that we note the passing of our beloved mother, Bobbie Machado. Bobbie Walker was born into a large family Oct. 22, 1925 in Torrence, Okla. In 1940, she moved to Antioch, where she befriended the Thompson family, whom she loved. It was later that she met a wonderful man, Harry Machado; they were married for many years. Bobbie and Harry raised two children in Brentwood, where she worked most of her life as a cook, mother, wife and friend.

On May 24, 1994, Bobbie lost the love of her life, Harry. She went on to volunteer for the Brentwood Police Department, play bingo and spend time with her family and friends. Those who knew and loved her will miss her. She is survived by her son, Gene Machado (Dee-Dee) of Reno, Nev.; daughter, Marilyn Rietzel (William) of Benecia; granddaughter, Gina Powers of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Robbie of Ada, Okla. and Billie of Trinity, Texas. A private service was held on Saturday, March 22.
