The Press is accepting submissions for its Halloween Pet Costume Contest through Friday, Oct. 19. Enter a photo of your horrific hounds, frightening felines and petrifying pets on The Press Facebook page for a chance to win some outstanding prizes. Winners will be determined by community vote, which will be held Oct. 20 through 26.

First place wins a prize basket valued at $350, which includes tickets to local attractions, station goodies from 104.1FM The Hawk, and a $50 Doggie Depot pet-grooming gift card and a “Dog Is Good” T-shirt.

Second place wins veterinary services for your dog or cat from Antioch Veterinary Hospital (a $350 value), a $30 gift card to Doggie Depot and the “Dog Is Good” T-shirt.

Third place wins four movie tickets and a $25 gift card to a local restaurant from The Press, a $20 gift card to Doggie Depot and a “Dog Is Good” T-shirt.
