Talk Like a Pirate Day sails into the Brentwood Community Center, 35 Oak St., on Wednesday, Sept.19 at 4 p.m., when the roguish Capt’n Jack Sparerib comes to share his mischievous ways.

Capt’n Jack Sparerib, the popular Johnny Depp impersonator, has been spotted at Pier 39 and the Nor Cal Pirate Festival. Next week, he comes to Brentwood with his talking monkey companion to entertain families with his mind-boggling tricks and seafaring stories.

The free, 45-minute event is sponsored by the Friends of the Brentwood Library. For more information, call 925-516-5290 or visit www.ccclib.org.
