They won’t be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, but Oakley’s Elite White 12U team will make the trip to Cooperstown, N.Y. this summer to compete against teams from across the nation in the American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame Invitational Tournament.

Elite Baseball holds a poker tournament fundraiser Saturday, March 10 at 6 p.m. in the Antioch Woman’s Club, 509 G St., to support the team’s trip to Cooperstown. Tickets are $65. On deck are Elite Baseball’s car show and car wash fundraising events.

The team continues to conduct tryouts for roster spots. For more information about tryouts or fundraising, e-mail elitewhitebaseball@gmail.com or call 925-437-6235.
